U razdoblju od 29. svibnja do 1. lipnja Nina He\u0107ej, doktorandica na ACCENT projektu, je sudjelovala s usmenim izlaganjem na 4. me\u0111unarodnoj konferenciji mladih znanstvenika (4 th<\/sup> International Conference of Young Scientists Soil in the Environment<\/em>). Konferenciju su organizirali mladi znanstvenici sa Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta Nikole Kopernika u Toru\u0144u i Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta prirodnih znanosti u Pozna\u0144u. Na konferenciji je sudjelovalo 35 mladih znanstvenika iz 12 zemalja (Kine, Hrvatske, \u010ce\u0161ke, Etiopije, Indije, Irana, Nigerije, Pakistana, Poljske, Portugala, \u0160vicarske i Vijetnama). Unutar 3 plenarne sesije prezentirano je ukupno 21 predavanje i 11 postera. Nina je odr\u017eala prezentaciju na temu metodologije i o\u010dekivanih rezultata svog doktorskog istra\u017eivanja koje provodi u sklopu HRZZ projekta ACCENT ne bi li potaknula diskusiju na navedenu temu i dobila sugestije oko implementiranja dodatnih metoda u istra\u017eivanju.<\/p>\n

Nagrade za najbolja usmena izlaganja podijeljena su na plenarnoj sjednici sljede\u0107im sudionicima: Tianjin Ren \u2013 Kina (1. mjesto), Alda Vieira \u2013 Portugal (2. mjesto), Nina He\u0107ej \u2013 Hrvatska (3. mjesto). \u00a0U sklopu konferencije organiziran je i jednodnevni teren na kojem se obi\u0161lo podru\u010dje subglacijalnih kanala i jezera okruga Brodnica. Opisane su tri vrste tala, nakon \u010dega je uslijedila vo\u017enja kajakom.<\/p>\n

Na konferenciji je sudjelovala i predsjednice IUSS-a, prof. dr. Laura Bertha Reyes S\u00e1nchez, koja je tijekom zavr\u0161ne ceremonije izrazila zahvalnost za visoku znanstvenu razinu usmenih izlaganja i postera. Tako\u0111er je napomenula da je aktivnost mladih vrlo va\u017ena za budu\u0107nost IUSS-a, stoga su ovakve inicijative poput SITE konferencije vrlo va\u017ene i dokaz da takve inicijative treba podr\u017eati i u budu\u0107nosti.<\/p>\n
